Removals in Canary Wharf & the Isle of Dogs

Glass towers, Docklands warehouse conversions and family houses by the river. We plan E14 moves around goods lifts, loading bays and the estate’s own rules.

In short: Laid Back Removals moves homes in and out of Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs, E14. Most homes here are new-build towers and converted warehouses, which usually need a booked goods lift and loading bay. Streets are run by Tower Hamlets Council, but much of the Canary Wharf estate is privately managed. Every mover is insured, with £2m public liability and £20k goods in transit.

Removals in Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs start from £139. See our prices.

In Canary Wharf, the hard part is the building

Not the stairs. Goods lift slots, loading bay times and concierge sign-in all need booking before moving day. Miss one, and the van waits on the kerb. We ask for your building’s move-in rules when we quote, so every slot is lined up before we arrive.

Parking on moving day in E14

Nothing slows a London move down like nowhere to park the van. Public streets in E14 are run by Tower Hamlets Council. Many roads on the Canary Wharf estate are private, with their own loading rules set by the estate or your building’s managing agent.

  • Moving home on a council street? Residents pay a service charge, with no bay charge for up to two bays for one day.
  • On the estate or in a tower? Book the loading bay and goods lift through your building management.
  • Notice: apply as early as you can. The council needs time to put up signs.

No suspension? The alternative is paid parking. We use the nearest pay-by-phone or pay-and-display bay, as close to your door as possible, and the cost is added to your quote.

From the team: weekday mornings around the office towers are the busiest. Evening and weekend slots are often easier to book.

Canary Wharf moving questions

On council streets it often helps. When you’re moving home, Tower Hamlets doesn’t charge the bay fee for up to two bays for one day. You still pay a service charge. On the estate’s private roads, your building management sets the rules. No suspension? We use the nearest paid parking bay.
